The Amsterdam-based label Dekmantel has been having a pretty good year and it’s not over yet. They’re capping off their 2014 with a record by emerging beat maker, Matrixxman (a.k.a. Charles M. Duff). On the Nubian Metropolis EP, the San Francisco-based DJ/producer employs an arsenal of infectious grooves that run the gambit of techno and house, with tracks that range from early ’90s-style Chicago house to more modern, electro pumpers.
Matrixxman has been having a busy year, DJing shows all over the globe (he recently just debuted in Italy for PWP Sounds’ Back To The Future show). Nubian Metropolis is his first release for Dekmantel and will hopefully be the first of many releases for the influential label.
Nubian Metroplis is out December 12. Check out a preview below.
