Henry Saiz’s Balance 019, which was released in 2011, is one of our favorites. It’s a notable release because it’s comprised of tracks played on vinyl, cassette and reel-to-reel tapes as well as over 100 field recordings.
So you can imagine our delight when we learned that the Spanish maestro is returning to the series with Balance presents Natura Sonoris mixed by Henry Saiz (get a sneak peak here). The second excursion for Balance features exclusive tracks from Saiz’s Natura Sonoris label, which is celebrating 10 years of releasing great music.
Ahead of the release on July 14, we talked to Saiz about five fresh tracks currently dominating his sets.
Fairmont – Shadows Of Mine (Rebolledo’s Ride)
Sinister and trippy for a properly intense cyberpunk dance floor action. Digging this one a lot lately.
Bicep – Aura
Intricate melody, thundering bass, uplifting energy all over. These two never disappoint, very much looking forward to the new album.
Boris Dlugosch, Cassara – Traveller
Classic synths, warm textures, vibrant layers and a funky groove filled with a fuzzy, sentimental haze. That kind of a track that’s meant to bring a smile to a stranger’s face.
Piek ft. Hokhok – Avalanche (Eelke Kleijn Remix)
Very happy-go-lucky remix from Eelke to dance into the sunset to. Shout out to the Sincopat guys who are releasing some really solid stuff lately.
Dominik Eulberg & Essáy – Dream Machine
There’s really not much to say about it except that it’s just one big harmonic bliss.
