Motorcycle Accident Forces Moderat to Cancel 2013 Tour

Moderat, the musical partnership between Apparat and Modeselektor who released their second album II last month, have been forced to cancel their European tour as band member Sascha Ring was involved in a motorcyle accident in Berlin. The good news is that Ring is recovering and doing well. Monkeytown has issued the following statement:

On Saturday afternoon (07.09.2013) Sascha Ring, member of the band Moderat had a motorcycle accident in Berlin. We are happy to announce that given the circumstances, Sascha and his girlfriend – who was with him at the time – are doing well.

However, Sascha has sustained a complicated multiple leg fracture that is likely to impede his mobility greatly in the coming weeks and possibly months.

To ensure Sascha’s full recovery we will have to postpone all upcoming Moderat tour dates until January 2014.
Tickets retain their validity.
