Bonobo Preps ‘Black Sands’ Remix LP
Jan 9th, 2012 | By Darren Ressler | Category: News, US newsSimon “Bonobo” Green took his career to the next level in 2010 when he released Black Sands. The soulful full-length showcased his impressive writing talent and gave rising soul star Andreya Triana some time in the spotlight before she released her Green-produced debut, Lost Where I Belong, which featured two songs penned with fellow Ninja Tune singer/songwriter Fink. Green has announced the upcoming release of Black Sands Remixed, a sprawling 14-track remix compilation coordinated with assistance from DJ/Ninja Tune label head Alexander Nut. Lapalux, Cosmin TRG, ARP101 (a.k.a. drum ‘n’ bass producer Alix Perez), FaltyDL and Mark Pritchard are among a coterie of remixers involved in the project which include two contributions from Green. A Bonobo DJ tour kicks off on February 1 at Coalition in Brighton. Full list of dates can be viewed here.
