London MC Stormin has died after an illness, according to reports on social media. Stormin was known for his solo work and membership in N.A.S.T.Y Crew. In early February he released a new single, “Money Gram” ft Jevvo.
In 2016, Stormin was diagnosed with stage 2 skin cancer. He had been in and out of the hospital, but said that his love for his children and family fueled his desire to beat cancer. He released an emotional music video for “Cursed,” a song from his #BRB (Be Right Back) album, about his cancer fight.
Prior to that the MC released another uplifting d’n’b track called “I Will Live” where he spit, “They can cut me up / But still I gotta live / Got tubes in my mouth / But still I gotta live.”
There’s been an outpouring of love and condolence on social media for the much-loved artist. We’ll have more on this developing story.
