Manchegan duo Lopez — David Lopez and Carlos Cruz — have been quietly making impressive musical statements ever since they sauntered onto the global stage in 2015 with their Mude Tod debut EP for Claude VonStroke‘s Dirtybird.
Sure, their tracks work like a charm on the dance floor. But what distinguishes Lopezhouse is how they eschew a cookie-cutter mindset and infuse unconventional ideas into each pristine production.
Having released tracks on Solomun’s Diynamic and Shir Khan’s Exploited, the twosome continue their relationship with John Digweed’s Bedrock (Guy J’s dub mix of “Crosses and Angels” feat. Angela was featured on Diggers’ Live in Brooklyn Output) with a new two-tracker. We’re excited to world premiere “Otsaila,” a quixotic offering where moody, lilting melodies meander as dark undertones rumble beneath. Check out the epic track below, and pick up the full release on June 30 via Bedrock.
