David Granha 5 Tracks of the Moment

David Granha

David Granha is a name I’ve been seeing come through my inbox a lot lately. He’s been doing some incredible work in the realm of tech-house and techno.

In the past year the veteran Spanish DJ/producer has remixed “Slapstick” from Marc DePulse’s Famekiller EP on Selador Recordings. He’s also done a ton of great work for house label of the moment Sincopat, contributing to the imprint’s Been Touched series, remixing Darlyn Vlys’s “Discovery” and dropping his Stand Up EP featuring his “Ghost in a Shell” collaboration with Vincent Brasse this month.

Ahead of the release of his debut single for Coyu’s revered Suara label — a driving tech-house tour de force called “The Liver” — out next Monday, and a release on Kattermuke arriving in early 2018, we connected with Granha and asked him to select five of his favorite new tracks.

1. Oliver Huntemann – Rotlicht (Raxon Remix) – Senso Sounds
I am really impressed with all Raxon’s music, especially over the past two years. This remix for Oliver is absolutely amazing. It is just what I need — dark and intense. The glitchy delay is tops!

2. Township Rebellion – Baud – Stil Vor Talent
This track is probably the one which worked much better the last time I played it. People enjoy it so much. I must say that I discovered these guys not a long time ago, and they are really really good. It’s a great combination between progressive house elements and techno!

3. Victor Ruiz – Dying of the Light – Suara
Here we have Victor, Suara and the Interestellar melody. I can’t say so things about Victor that haven’t already been said. He is ‘the one’ in techno productions, and here with this Interestellar melody, I can fly again with Matthew McConaughey through those black holes.

4. David Granha feat. Vincent Brasse – Ghost in a Shell – Sincopat
It was less than a year ago when I met Vincent on Mauritius Island, and he played to me some of his tracks in his car radio. I was really surprised with this guy’s voice. Now one year after we are releasing music together and we have a band new project called Vincent & The Barbers with Animal Picnic & Aaryon.

5. Der Dritte Raum – Polarized Echoes – Harthouse
Talk about Der Dritte Raum is talk about music history — who doesn’t remind “Hale Bopp?” So for me, as a big fan, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to have more music from them. With this track we can still trip with their arpeggios in a new fresh way.
