Moisees 5 Tracks of the Moment

Moisees

Moisés Ramírez co-helms Duro Records along with parter Mateo González. Duro (which means hard in English) was founded in 2015 in Mexico City and aims to release quality dance music.

In addition to running Never Stop Music and producing music under his Silver Light moniker, Moisés is a resident DJ at Club Social Rhodesia and MONO, two of the top clubs in Mexico City.

Moisés brings his wealth of dance floor expertise to the Train Station Philosophy EP, which is set for release on July 28 via Duro. His EP is right on time, offering three cuts bathed in acidic goodness and deep-house vibes galore.

Ahead of the EP’s release with spoke with the man himself and asked him to share five cuts currently dominating his DJ sets.

Steve Lawler – Crazy Dream (DJs Pareja Remix)
It’s strange when I don’t like the music of DJs Pareja, and this remix isn’t the exception. They take the original track to a whole new level. The rhythm synth and the bassline is the perfect combination to make all the crowd dance. Love it!

N/UM – Induction (Theus Mago Remix)
Theus Mago did a great remix! He changed the entire mood of the original track, making a mysterious and evil bassline, accompanied with spooky voices and rolling drums. A solid techno track inspired in the late ’90s. Duro!

Christian Nielsen – Hard Times (Original Mix)
The Speicher series from Kompakt is one of my favorites! The #96 has this beautiful track from Chris. I can’t play it all the time, but when I do, the crowd looses their heads. It is magic!

James Welsh – Standing (Original Mix)
I have been playing this track for a long time. James Welsh has made a great work! The lead synth creates a nonstop mood, while the ambience hypnotizes you, resulting in a track that gets people stuck on the dance floor.

Rebolledo – Pow Pow (Fango Remix)
This remix is heavy! It has very few elements but is a real stomper. This track is a good example of “less is more.” Definitely one of my new favorites. Now my homework is listening more music from Fango.
