Since we started the Big Shot Guest Mix series ages ago, it’s served as a platform for established DJs to flex their mixing muscle. Today we’re doing something a little different, shining the spotlight on an up-and-coming DJ/producer who isn’t even old enough to enter the clubs whose dance floors he produces for.

Meet New Orleans’ Christoph Andersson, an 18-year-old jock who just stepped out with his debut four-track EP. Released in late November, the EP’s lead track, “Tuxedo,” has already made a lot of noise on the blogosphere thanks to the song’s funk-influenced basslines and housey sensibility.
