How Was 2011 For You, Kabuki?
Jan 13th, 2012 | By Darren Ressler | Category: 2011 Recap, RecapHow was 2011 for you?
I’m really satisfied how my music evolved during the past 12 months. I’m feeling much more in control of the process, and the difference between what I hear in my head and what comes out of the speakers is getting smaller and smaller. Plus, I dropped a few bad habits which makes 2011 a good year in my book.
Highlights?
One of the favorite moments this year was playing the Planet V event in London together with Jenna G. We’ve been working on our show for many years and I can say without false pride: when we’re tuned in, we’re the best at what we’re doing. Big up to all crew that made this night so memorable!
Lowlights?
I’m usually trying to focus on the positive aspects no matter how small they are. However, the disaster in Japan was a difficult time as it had an impact on the lives of many people that are close to me. It was a reminder that everything we take for granted can change within the blink of an eye.
What’s your New Year’s resolution?
My personal resolution for every year is to make the best use of my most precious resource: time. To quote Motherlode: “When I die I hope to be a better man then you thought I could be.”
