New Sally Shapiro Album Due in August

Enigmatic Italo-disco act Sally Shapiro will release its second album on August 25th. My Guilty Pleasure is the follow-up to the much-lauded Disco Romance, and once again finds an anonymous female vocalist teaming up with producer Johan Agebjörn. The duo say the upcoming album is “a bit more poppy and varied” than the debut, taking influences from genres like trance, cosmic disco, acid, ambient and jazz while still having disco as its core. “It will hopefully make you fall in love with the person sitting next to you on the bus,” says the unknown vocalist for the group who goes by the name Sally.
The album’s first single, “Miracle,” will drop on June 16th and will include a remix by up-and-coming Bulgarian producer Bogdan Irkük.
